about

1994:
It was all just guys. All. The. Fucking. Time. No access to any other bands. No women. “Have you heard of ‘hole’? She’s Kurt Cobains girlfriend!” This was the year that Kurt died and Courtney released her album ‘live through this’ and had a photo session where she painted ‘profit prophet’ inside a heart on the floor. That’s where my photo came from. Was inspired by. It was the 90’s; You squat on the floor. It’s cool. And yes, Courtney Love brought me there, but I was more fascinated by Kat Bjelland from Babes in Toyland. How can you scream like that? How can you play guitar like that? How can you spit like that?
